Yellow Caishen Thangka Embroidery Brocade Painting Tibetan Buddha Painting

The thangka of the Qamdo ethnic group (Qamdo Gama Gachi School of Painting) is a traditional art of Qamdo County, Tibet Autonomous Region, and one of the national intangible cultural heritages.
Thangka, also known as "Tangga" or "Tangka", is a transliteration of Tibetan. It is a kind of colorful scroll painting embroidered or painted on cloth, silk or paper. The Qamdo area is located in the eastern part of Tibet and the southeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The Gama Gachi School of Painting in Qamdo is said to have been founded by Langka Zhaxi Living Buddha. He and the eighth Karmapa Living Buddha Miju Dorje laid the theoretical foundation for the modeling of the Gama Gachi School of Painting. In the process of development, the Gama Gachi School of Painting has been based on tradition and boldly innovated. It has absorbed the essence of the meticulous and colorful techniques of Han painters, focused on lyricism and freehand brushwork, and paid attention to color contrast, forming the characteristics of rigorous structure and delicate painting.
